A Deep Dive Into How it Began

At the age of 12, I received my first laptop, a Chromebook running Chrome OS, which ignited my passion for technology. The initial excitement led me to explore the device's capabilities, only to confront significant limitations, restricting me to basic web browsing. Determined to transcend these constraints, I drew inspiration from my experience rooting an Android phone and set out to jailbreak my Chromebook, eventually achieving the feat of dual-booting Ubuntu. Although navigating the unfamiliar territory of Linux and package management posed challenges, my motivation to play the games my peers enjoyed on their Windows computers persisted.

Eager to bridge the gap, I discovered Wine, a Linux application enabling the execution of Windows programs. The revelation that a simple command in the terminal could interface with hardware intensified my fascination with coding and understanding computers at the physical level. However, the inherent hardware limitations of the Chromebook prompted a realization: it was designed for web browsing, not the latest games. This also inspired my interest in web development and learning foundation of HTML and CSS.

Undeterred, the following summer presented a turning point when my grandfather extended an invitation to work and provided an opportunity to save for a self-built Windows gaming PC. The newfound gaming prowess allowed me to delve into game modification and server hosting for my friends. This transformative journey not only kindled my passion for technology but also marked the genesis of a deeper exploration into the intricacies of coding, hardware, and the limitless possibilities of the digital realm.
